Finding this family link was a hard search of records, that has just
begun. The Lewis surname enters into my family lines through the Massey
surname; I have gotten lucky twice with this families research. They were
in Washington Co, AR. The last land record there tied them to Travis Co,
TX in 1858 where I was able to find them on tax records. The last land
record in Travis Co, TX said they were in Limestone Co, TX. So the hunt
continues. This is my first real Texas family!
